Day 313: Bottle Caps and Ribbon

I went into my craft room this morning without really knowing what I wanted to do. I started out by straightening up a little bit. In the process, I found one of bottle cap refrigerator magnets I had made way back when. I also found my stash of unused bottle caps. An idea started to form.

What if I decorated the bottle caps and used them to make a ribbon bookmark?

I found the paper and punched out the images. I adhered them to the bottle caps. That was the easy part. Next, I had to find ribbon that worked with the colors. None of the cord that I used previously, really worked well. so I raided my ribbon stash and found a gold-toned ribbon that matched the color of the puffer fish and the flower on the octopus. I hadn’t used crimps with the flat ribbon, so that was a bit of a challenge, but I made it work and made a ribbon bookmark with bottle caps.

I think it turned out kind of fun and is extremely lightweight. What do you think?
