Day 303: Ready for Trick of Treating

I love Halloween. It very well might be my favorite holiday. Today’s project is perfect for the traditions of this special day.

Skull and Cross Bones Trick or Treat Bag

I had leftover papers from when I did the decoupage pumpkin, so I decided to use them to create a pirate-themed trick or treat bag. Now, ideally I would have made an iron-on transfer, but I didn’t have the supplies for that, so I worked with what I had. I ran the paper pieces through my Xyron and made them into stickers that I then put onto the bag. Now, I only have a small Xyron so I had to cut the skull in half and run it through as 2 pieces and then carefully align them when I put them onto the bag. I think I did an okay job with that.

Anyway, since the design is made from paper stickers, I wouldn’t suggest taking it out in the rain and I don’t know how well the design will hold up for the long run, but I achieved the look that I was going for.
