Day 258: Let’s Go Sailing

I will admit that I started today’s project yesterday. I wasn’t sure if I would be able to do it with my thumb, but either my thumb is healing or doing latch hook doesn’t put too much pressure on it.

Sailboat Latch Hook

I did a skull and cross bones latch hook a while back, so I guess that doing a sailboat latch hook isn’t a terribly original project. To be honest, when I was cruising the craft store, a different latch hook caught my eye. It was a fish and it was quite nice, but it was the same size as the pirate one I did before, and I seemed to recall that one taking much longer than I really had time for. Then I saw this sailboat one and it was smaller and seemed more manageable, so I got it.

Like I said, I did a couple of rows yesterday, just to see if I could latch hook with my thumb. It didn’t hurt, so I set to work this morning to do the rest of it. It is only 8 inches by 8 inches or 26×26 if you count the pieces of yarn in the actual design. Not quite sure what I will do with it yet, but I will come up with something.

  1. Neat! I haven’t done latchhook in years. Good job.
