Day 61: Happy Birthday, Dr. Seuss

Today’s project was a no-brainer. It is the birthday of one of the world’s best-known children’s authors, so paying tribute to him was an easy decision. Looking back over his vast body of work, it was clear that the sea was not one of his primary sources of inspiration, except for one classic title:

One Fish, Two FishI used those cute fish stamps that I told everyone that they would see a lot of over the course of the year, fussy cut them and colored them. I punched out the letters for the title using my Cricut. Put it all on bright yellow paper and in a suitably colorful frame and this is what I came up with. I would hope that Dr. Seuss would approve of my imitation of his art.

Happy birthday, Dr. Seuss.
